TROOPS TO TEACHERS
Troops to Teachers is a U.S. Department of Education and Department of Defense program that helps eligible military personnel begin a new career as teachers in public schools where their skills, knowledge and experience are most needed.

HELMETS TO HARDHATS
Helmets to Hardhats (H2H) was formed and is dedicated to helping National Guard, Reserve, retired and transitioning active-duty military members connect to quality career and training opportunities in one of America's most challenging and rewarding industries — the construction industry.
The Center for Military Recruitment, Assessment and Veterans Employment (CMRAVE) administers the H2H program. CMRAVE is a non-profit Section 501(c)(3) joint labor-management committee established under Section 302(c)(9) of the Labor Management Relations Act. The CMRAVE receives the majority of its funding from grants from the federal government. Additional funding and support come from private foundations, employers, employer associations and unions

SERVICEMEMBERS OPPORTUNITY COLLEGES
SOC is a consortium of approximately 1,800 colleges and universities providing educational opportunities for servicemembers and their families. SOC is cosponsored by the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) and the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC), in cooperation with 13 other educational associations and, the Military Services, the National Guard, and the Coast Guard.

VETERANS UPWARD BOUND
Veterans Upward Bound (VUB) is a free U.S. Department of Education TRIO program designed to help eligible U.S. military veterans enter and succeed in the postsecondary school of their choosing. Currently, there are 48 VUB programs nationwide, including Puerto Rico, ready to assist veterans. The services provided by VUB projects include:

- Laboratory Science
- Composition
- Reading
- Literature
- Foreign Language
- Computer Skills
Other services may include
- Assistance completing college admission forms
- Personal academic advising and career counseling

- Career guidance and planning
- Cultural field trips and campus visits
- Tutoring and mentoring
- Referrals to other community agencies serving veterans
